Divisions
Suggested Divisions by Age:
Single A - Modified Coach Pitch: 5 & 6 year olds
AA - Machine Pitch: 7 & 8 year olds
AAA - Player Pitch: 9, 10 & 11 year olds
Majors - Player Pitch: 11 & 12 year olds
Intermediate: 13 year olds

*See the Little League Age Chart on the RNLL page to determine what league age your player will be considered for the season.

Playing Up
If your player would like to play up a division, they must attend the appropriate tryout. League age 8 players can try out to play up on a AAA team by trying out with the 9 year olds. League age 10 players can try out to play up on a Majors team by trying out with the 11 year olds. At tryouts, your player’s skills will be assessed and we will determine if they are approved to play up a division. Additional fees may apply depending on the division.

Try-Outs
If your player is league age 9+ or would like to play in AAA or Majors and are of appropriate league age, they will be required to try out. During tryouts, players’ skills will be evaluated. The tryout ensures that players are placed on a team in a division that will provide them with the best experience. It also helps the league ensure teams are balanced across the division. All registered players will be placed on a team.

Players must attend one of the following tryout dates:

Saturday, March 8th OR Saturday, March 15th

12 year olds 10:00 AM on Field 2
11 year olds 11:30 AM on Field 2
10 year olds 1:00 PM on Field 2
9 year olds 2:30 PM on Field 2

*League age 8 year olds trying out for AAA MUST try out with 9s, and league age 10 year olds trying out for Majors MUST try out with 11s.

*If a player candidate is unable to participate in either tryout session with good reason they may be eligible for the draft provided he or she informs the RNLL President (at president@richlandnational.com) and Player Agent (at playeragent@richlandnational.com) of the reason no later than the morning of the final Majors Division tryout date and the RNLL Board of Directors determines the reason to be justifiable.

All - Star Eligibility
